For a year and a half I have used Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5, which has provided enough of features to take many of the pictures I have in Flickr.
As time passes by, the requirements become higher, thus I am currently looking for a replacement. The method is similar as before, but now just limited to the offerings from the same manufacturer. Japanese do good work.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ38 seems to be the best option, currently it is available at some 332 EUR.
How about the memory card then. It plays a big role in digital shooting. The writing speed is the most essential, followed by the capacity and reading speed. As the SDHC memory cards became to existence, the “class” definition came to assist the consumers.
So far I have used a 16 GB card with a class 6 mark. Now I am looking to increase the volume, to 32 GB of class 10. For example Sandisk Extreme III can offer this. Speed comes with a price around 190 EUR, whereas a card with same capacity but of class 6, is less than half of the price.
